Ways to Help You Gain your Energy Independence

At Sundowner Solar, we have several ways to help you gain your energy independence.  Three ways to purchase your solar equipment a Solar Lease through Sungevity, a Power
Purchase Agreement, and by standard system sales.

First
and foremost we have the Solar Lease through Sungevity.

How does the Sungevity Lease work?

Two ways to lease: $0 down OR fully prepaid

(any amount of money-down up to full prepayment)

  1. $0 down Lease – Go solar with
no money out of pocket and no payment until system is installed and producing
clean energy (no risk to homeowner)
  2. Prepaid lease – For the
homeowner who has a little money to put towards solar and wants to
increase/accelerate their savings, they may prepay the lease at a significant
discount and not have any other payment for the duration of the lease.

Everything is included:

  • Installation, maintenance, monitoring, $2,000,000 of insurance,
    full warranty, and guaranteed performance.
  • Performance guaranteed – Sungevity puts into writing what the
system will deliver each year and if it under-performs Sungevity will pay the
    homeowner the difference.
  •  Shortest lease in industry – 10 year lease where applicable
(20 year lease where required by utility)

Bonus: the homeowner gets to keep any over production at no charge.

Our second option is a Power Purchase Agreement.

The PPA boasts some of the same features as a solar lease.  With a PPA, you can enjoy a reduced electric bill with little to money down.

A solar system is installed at no cost to the homeowner.  Then, the homeowner at a discounted rate purchases the power that is produced by the solar array.

The savings on a PPA is usually 10% – 20%.  While this may not be a huge upfront savings,
when you look at the price of electricity increasing at over 6% a year the
savings becomes quite substantial.

On average, the savings over the twenty-year term is over $25,000.

Third, we have our standard system sales

We proudly offer solar system sales with the earliest return on investment as
possible.  Our educated staff of solar professionals is here to assist in every step of the solar process.  Sundowner will be there from designing the perfect system for your home, all the way to commissioning and seeing the meter spin backwards.

Sundowner Solar Power Purchase Agreement

Our Power Purchase Agreement is a financial arrangement in which a third-party developer who installs, owns, and maintains a photovoltaic system for your use on your property. You as a customer agree to the installment of the photovoltaic system on your property. You will also need to agree to purchase the electricity that is output from the solar device at a reduced rate for a contracted amount of time. When the contract has ended, you will be able to purchase the photovoltaic system at an affordable price. The term length of the contract will range from 6 to 25 years. This arrangement between the third-party developer and you makes it possible to receive stable and low cost electricity for your home or business.
Sundowner Solar will be your project coordinator; they will arrange the financing, design your system, and install the photovoltaic system that will be producing the needed electricity for your application. Sundowner Solar will design a system with appropriate system components to run your home or business at optimum efficiency and perform the maintenance over the life of the photovoltaic system. Installation of the photovoltaic system is completed in one to four months after the signing of the PPA contract.
Your utility service company will provide a connection from your PV system to the electrical grid. Your current electric service will stay connected to provide electricity for you during periods that the system is producing less energy than your homes electrical needs.
Benefits of obtaining a PPA contract:
Help support local businesses.
Create work for the local job market.
No money to invest until the end of the contract.
No risk for operation or maintenance of equipment.
Show your commitment in saving our environment.
Reduction in the carbon footprint by the use of green energy.
